INGA MYSTIQUE NARIÑO

The Inga Mystique lot is produced by the Sandoná Group, a small association of 17 coffee growers in Sandoná, Nariño. Partnering with Inconexus, a Colombian coffee exporter, they improve farming techniques to boost the quality and value of the coffee.

The Inga tree, known for its nitrogen-fixing properties, is the primary shade tree used by Sandoná growers. This lot of coffee was wet-milled at Belcosub, a local beneficio.

Sandoná has a rich history dating back to the Pre-Colombian era when it was inhabited by the indigenous Quillacingas, and the Sandoná family, whose hacienda later became the town's center and was eventually acquired by the church, managed by a convent of nuns.
